Medications, if taken incorrectly, can be costly and dangerous. Many people are worried that medications cause bad side effects. Our goal is to help make medication taking an easier process, while minimizing the chance of a missed dose, medication errors and consequentially harmful adverse events. Our team works with patients to make sure medications are taken at the right dose, the right time and/or in the right combination. Our pharmacists work with prescribers to ensure prescribed medications are not duplicative or contraindicative to other concurrent regimens. We provide education to help patients detect medication related problems before they become serious. Patient’s laboratory results, nutritional status and non-medication regimens (supplements) if available, are also reviewed to ensure optimal synergy and therapeutic response. Some insurance plans do provide coverage to qualified patients for this valuable service.
