Immunization & Travel Health Services

Our mission is to provide you the education and facts on the risks of Influenza-related illness and how you can prevent it. We are all exposed to the flu or Influenza viruses. Why is it, then, that out of ten people, five are totally knocked out with a bad case of it, three get a case of the sniffles, and two are completely unscathed? The problem is the state of our immune system. We put ourselves under a lot of stress, overindulge in food and drink, and just don’t live as healthily as we should, don’t we? Our kids are under the same stress when they start at a new school or a new year at college. During the winter, we also tend to stay indoor or are totally wrapped up so that we are less exposed to natural sunlight. Thus, our immune system suffers. And so do we — and the reason why we get the flu. Our pharmacists can provide you with the Flu Vaccines and teach you about other natural Flu & Cold preventive strategies.

Travel Health Services: Our pharmacists are one of the few pharmacists in the country certified in Travel Health and the prevention of travel-related illnesses. Personalized consultation for individuals and traveling partners (family members, groups) are strongly recommended for those traveling to certain geographical locations known to have a high risk of exposure to bacteria, viruses, and parasites that cause Malaria, Yellow Fever, Dengue Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, Traveler’s Diarrhea, Avian Flu, Hepatitis, and so on. (For additional travel-related health risks, please visit the CDC website for additional information: http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/diseases). After you complete a confidential questionnaire, including your travel itinerary, one of our pharmacists will assess the needs for vaccination for you and your traveling partners. Recommended vaccinations can be administered at our pharmacy for your convenience.
